Creating an animated video asset with brand cohesion and maximum impact

Challenge

Launching a new business division into a well-established brand family can present multiple communication challenges across messaging, positioning and visual delivery. For Yggdrasil, a global provider of superior online gaming solutions, telling the story of its new publishing model via a powerful piece of video content was the answer – just in time to launch at ICE 2020.

Approach

Taking forward a strategic deep dive into the Yggdrasil publishing proposition, performed by our sister company Rokker, gave us the perfect starting point. Activating our content planning and storyboarding expertise in partnership with the marketing team, we delivered frame-by-frame visuals to bring the story to life. Integrating animated assets and a piece-to-camera by the CEO, we took the concept into full production at record pace to hit a 4-week end-to-end turnaround.

Success

The final asset wraps together key messaging, brand design principles, branded assets and imagery into a visually dynamic piece of explainer content – sandwiching a top level VT overview of the new division, its purpose, USPs and capabilities. The video took centre-stage on the Yggdrasil ICE stand, creating a teaser for delegates to discover more in the dedicated ‘Publishing Division’ zone.
